When Reality and Fiction are Reversed

Rating: PG, maybe even G
Disclaimer: Buffy and Co. do not belong to me. I'm just borrowing them. As far as the actors in the story, I don't own them either, this is just my take on how they would react to a situation like this. The concept of the story came from a L&C fanfic I read.
Spoilers: Ted, Bad Eggs, Surprise/Innocence, BBB and Passion
Authors Notes: I wrote this the summer after S2 but I've revised it several times since then. I usually read fic, not write it so I'm a bit self conscious about it. It's a big step here for me to send it out to all you guys. I'm aware that a lot of things don't fit here, like Sarah being off shooting SNL during BBB and stuff with the set and such. Just play along ok? =o) Also, I'm just going to say now that I'm not a S/D person, so you're not going to find that here. Italics indicate thoughts. "Ok, I'm done now."
Feedback: Please be honest and tell me what you think.

Buffy walked through the halls of Sunnydale High making her way towards the school library. Things had pretty much calmed down in the supernatural area since the "egg" incident and her mother had finally let her off the hook. She was officially un-grounded now and tonight she was meeting Angel at the Bronze. She grinned at the thought of her gorgeous and sometimes brooding boyfriend.

Buffy glanced at her watch hoping she wasn't too late for training. It was 3:45?! Giles is gonna freak on me! She quickened her pace and as she made it to the library door, she felt a sudden wave of dizziness. She leaned against the wall for support. Her world was spinning and she closed her eyes tightly willing it to stop. It passed slowly after a few moments leaving her feeling completely fine again. Whoa, that was weird. She shrugged it off and entered the library.

The first thing she noticed was the video cameras surrounding Giles, Xander, and Oz. The expression on her face made her confusion obvious. What is going on here? She stood in the same spot as she looked around the room taking it all in. Sitting at the table in the middle of the library were Jenny and Amy. Amy? Why is she here? Her gaze rested on Xander, slumped against the bookcase. Oz was standing above him and books were scattered on the floor around them. Giles was staring at the two boys with a shocked expression.

"I was on the phone all night listening to Willow cry about *you*!"

Oz's usual calmness was replaced with a touch of anger as he stared intently at Xander. Buffy's eyes grew wide as she watched the exchange and wondered again what exactly was going on. Suddenly a smile crept onto Oz's face and the next thing Buffy knew he burst out laughing! Huh? Giles and Xander seemed to contain themselves but within seconds they joined him.

"I'm really sorry," Oz gave an apologetic look as he composed himself.

"Can we try that again?" He asked one of the men beside the camera.

"Yeah. Alright, Seth, just say your line again. Nick, Tony, lets try it again."

Nick? Tony? Seth? Buffy watched as Xander and Giles followed the man's instructions. She made her way between the cameras and other random people she'd never seen before.

"Alright, anyone care to fill me in on what's happening here? Cuz last time I checked, the school library wasn't a movie set." Buffy wanted an explanation *now*.

"Sarah, what are you doing here? We already finished your scenes for today," the man said to her.

"Excuse me? Who are you and *why* did you just call me Sarah?" She gave him a look of annoyance and glanced at Giles hoping he'd be able to tell her what was happening.

"Look we're on a tight schedule here. You're done for the day. You can go home." The man turned around and went back to what he was doing, leaving Buffy hanging. Her mouth gaped open and she spoke angrily.

"Giles, what is happening here?!" He gave a strange look in her direction and went back to what he'd been doing.

"Xander?!"

"Oz?!"

She gave a sigh as each of her friends ignored her. She stormed out of the library pushing her way past the people. Maybe Willow knows why everyone has gone completely insane!

Buffy walked down the empty halls and towards the outside of the school. She knew Willow was around here somewhere. Her breath caught in her throat as she looked around the grounds and saw *him* standing there. Her mouth formed the words "Oh. my. God." but no sound came out. He's- and it's day--how can--- I don't-- Her brain could barely even complete a thought.

There was Angel, her undead vampire boyfriend, standing outside..... in broad daylight.

Dream. This has to be a dream.

He was talking with a man and seemed perfectly calm and normal like this was an everyday occurrence. Buffy however stood frozen in place. She was in awe as she stared at him. The afternoon sun shone down on him playing on his sculptured features. He looked even more gorgeous than usual. How many times had she dreamt of seeing him in the sun? Is that all this is? a dream? She hoped with all her heart it wasn't.

The man he'd been talking with walked off away from the school and before she realized it Angel was walking towards her. Finally her legs seemed to work again and she met up with him and threw her arms around him, hugging him tightly.

"Angel! You're in the sun!" Buffy pulled back so she could look into his eyes. A huge smile covered her face. "How can this be happening? I mean, this is great! I just don't-" He cut her off and Buffy noticed he was looking at her like she'd lost it.

"Are you alright, Sarah?" he asked hesitantly.

She wondered what was wrong with him. Why wasn't he as thrilled about this as her? "Yes, I'm fine. But, *you*, you're--" She spoke quickly and her mind processed his words suddenly. "Sarah? Why are you calling me *Sarah*?"

"Because... that's your name. Have you been getting enough sleep? You know, you really do work too hard some--"

"What do mean that's my name? My name is *Buffy*! Remember me, Buffy? You're girlfriend, Buffy?"

************************************

A pretty red-headed girl walked across the grass outside the school grounds. She squinted her eyes in the sun and spotted her friends talking up ahead. She drew closer and called out.

"Hey, there you are! I've been looking all-"

"Willow! Thank God!" Buffy was freaking out and she was relieved to hear Willow's voice calling her. She turned to her friend, "Do you know what's happening here?"

Willow? Why'd she just call me Willow? That confused look Buffy seemed to be getting from everyone appeared on Willow's face now too.

"Uh.... Hi David." She looked back at her friend with a puzzled look. "Um....Sarah, don't you remember? We were going out to eat. Come on Charisma's waiting for us." She dismissed her confusion assuming Sarah had just forgotten the plans they'd made earlier.

"*Sarah*?! David?" Buffy groaned. "Not you too?"

"Me what? David is she alright?"

"I... don't know. She keeps telling me her name is Buffy."

"Yeah! Cuz that's me! I am Buffy! That's who I am. Buffy... the vampire slayer." The last part was more of a plea as her voiced lowered slightly.

Alyson and David looked to each other for an answer. Then, as if something had 'clicked', they both grinned and began laughing.

"Oh! That was good, Sarah! We really thought.... You, you had us going there for a second," Aly told her between laughs.

"Yeah, you got us. So we're even now, ok?" David added, but Buffy wasn't amused in the least.

"Haha. We figured you out, Sarah, you can stop now." Aly saw the expression on her friend's face hadn't changed. "You're not joking are you?"

"No, I'm not. I'm dead serious. I *am* Buffy."

"Oh, I see."

"Aly, you can't be thinking...... I mean, that's ridiculous. Sarah's just trying to get us back for that stunt we pulled on her the other day. Look, Sarah, you got us, ok. You can stop acting like you're really Buffy. She's just a made-up character you play. She's not *real*."

"Made-up?!" Buffy voice raised higher and she lost her composure in that instant. "Am I not standing right beside you? Look, I understand you not knowing what's going on. I don't either! I mean, one minute I'm late for training with Giles, then the library's swarming with *video cameras*, everybody's calling me Sarah and my *vampire* boyfriend is standing outside in broad daylight AND he's not a pile of dust! I'm telling you, I AM REAL! Now, I don't know who you people are. You look just like my friends, but you are definitely NOT them!"

Buffy wanted to scream! This was supposed to be a happy dream where Angel I have smoochies in the sun. It's turning into a nightmare... it better be a nightmare.

"Well, Um... I'm David... and this is Alyson." He couldn't believe he was buying into this, but the tone of her voice seemed to be freakishly real. Either that or Sarah was better at playing Buffy then he'd ever imagined.

"Yeah, We're actors, and we work on a television show. It's called......Buffy: The Vampire Slayer. You're the main character," Aly informed. Maybe by getting the facts out we can figure this out.

"What? Are you trying to tell me that my life is a *television* show? Like, every week, people tune in to see what demon I have to fight next?" Her tone was sarcastic, "And this is entertainment for them?" Buffy laughed at the absurdity of it.

"Well...actually, yes. That's right," Aly told her weakly.

"So, I'm like in some alternate universe or something?" Buffy responded dryly. "I'm sorry, but I just don't believe that."

"It's true. We just play Angel and Willow. They don't actually exist." David told her.

"It *can't* be true! I mean this is the Hellmouth, but this is way beyond the normal weirdness. It's just-"

"Hold on!" Aly interrupted. "I have an idea. *This* will definitely convince you we're telling the truth."

***********************************

Where is Aly? She was supposed to be meet me here with Charisma. Sarah was getting impatient as she walked into the library. They probably won't be in here, but...... Upon entering, she saw Tony sitting at the table absorbed in a book.

"Where is everybody? I thought they weren't done filming yet." she asked.

"Oh," he said looking up at her just having realized she was there. He gave her a stern look, "You're late. This is not a game Buffy. Your training is very serious, and if you don't-"

"Excuse me, Tony, but what are you saying?"

At that moment Willow and Xander came strolling through the library doors.

"Hey Guys!" Willow said.

"Hey there, Buffster, G-Man," Xander greeted. Giles just sighed in annoyance at the nickname.

Sarah turned to her friend, "Aly, where were you? I've been looking all over for you. I thought Charisma was with you, we were going to eat remember?"

Willow was lost. "Alyson? Charisma? Buffy, What are you talking about?"

"Huh? Come on guys, quit with the act- and aren't you and Nick supposed to be filming?" Sarah asked pointing at the two men in the room.

"Filming what, Buffy? I've been waiting for you to arrive so that we can-- Who... Who is Nick?"

Sarah looked over at Nick standing by Alyson. There was a curious expression on each of their faces.

"Buff? You trying to make with the funny... or what?" Xander asked trying to figure out what was up with his friend.

"My name is *Sarah*. You know that Buffy's just my character. What's up with you people?"

"Ok.... Looks like Buffy, but NOT Buffy. Who are you and what in the Hellmouth did you do to Buffy?!" Xander asked, getting defensive. Then he burst out saying, "Wait a minute! It's like Halloween all over again! That Ethan guy must be up to it again! Another let's-posses-the slayer-and-her-friends-somehow." he muttered the last part.

Willow rolled her eyes at Xander's sudden outburst. She looked to her friend and waited. I'm sure there's some explanation for all this. Right? I mean, Buffy was her normal self earlier today when I saw her... "Buffy are you alright?" she asked.

"Halloween? Ethan? *Possessed*? I assure you, I am the same person I have always been. You all are the ones acting weird here," Sarah told them. They didn't seem to buy it... at all. They seemed utterly and completely confused. What is happening? Wait a minute......No, *that* is not an option! Well......what if it is?

Sarah sighed and ran her fingers through her hair. "This is SO not happening! It's crazy! *I'm* crazy for even entertaining the idea..." she muttered to herself. Oh, well here goes.

"First off, I swear I'm not here to hurt anyone. Just... listen." The group nodded and Sarah continued.

"Ok, You may not believe me, but-" Hellmouth, remember "Ok, maybe you will." She sighed again, still not believing what she was doing, "I guess I can start by telling you who I am, and a little about my... job."

**********************************************

Aly popped a tape into the VCR, and pushed play. Buffy sat in a chair and watched as the images played on the screen. David and Alyson watched her intently waiting for a reaction.

A howl.
A full moon.
"Buffy The Vampire Slayer" plastered across the screen.

Buffy stared blankly at the screen as scenes from the past year and a half of her life flashed by quickly.

Catherine the Great.
Darla.
Moloch.
Nights spent dancing at the Bronze.
Her and Angel's first kiss.

Sarah Michelle Gellar. Wow, looks just like me. It's like she *is* me.
Nicholas Brendon. Xander
Alyson Hannigan. Willow
Charisma Carpenter. Cordelia
David Boreanaz. Angel
Anthony Stewart. Head Giles

It was just about everyone she cared about, right there on screen. Except they were actors *pretending* to be the people she loved. The credits ended and she continued to stare at the now blank screen.

"Do you believe us now?" David asked.

"It's incredible, I just... you all... Yeah, I do believe you. It's just sort of a shock, I guess."

David looked over to Aly who was deep in thought. Suddenly she snapped out of it and spoke up.

"Um, Buffy, when's your Birthday?"

"Huh? I mean, why?"

"Well, has it passed yet... or is it coming up?"

"It's in two weeks. Again, *why*?" Buffy asked. Is something going to happen? They must know something.

"Oh, no reason. Just wondered how far along things were in your- from where you- where... it is that you're from," Aly smiled weakly. "Uh, David can I talk to you for a sec? Outside."

They walked outside leaving Buffy in the room alone.

"We're ahead of them." David said surprised.

"That's what I was afraid of. She doesn't know that you, er, Angel changed yet. Surprise/Innocence hasn't happened yet! We can't let her find that out!"

"I know, but how? Sarah has scenes to shoot tomorrow!"

"Sarah!" Aly shrieked, "Where is she?! They must have switched places!"

"Oh my God, You're right! They must think Sarah is Buffy. Wait, maybe they're working on a way to send Sarah back over here. You know, over in the real Sunnydale... Wow! Did I just say that? This is more than strange, you do realize that?"

Aly nodded quickly agreeing with him. "It really is."

David gave her a weak look, "Maybe by tomorrow everything will be back to normal? If the real Scooby gang can figure a way out of this..."

"And, what if they don't?"

"I don't know. What's the shooting schedule for her tomorrow?" David asked.

"We're doing the scenes at Buffy's house. She only has one scene."

"Right, Juliet and I have to be there too for one scene."

"Let's just hope everything's resolved by tomorrow. If she has to do the scene, we'll have to tell her the truth. Look, I'll take her home now and we can meet early tomorrow to figure more of this out, Ok?"

"Alright. Tomorrow then," David agreed. He glanced at his watch remembering the time. "Aly, I gotta go. I have scenes to shoot."

"Oh, yeah that's fine." Aly responded

"Hey, tell Buffy I said bye, and... good luck."

"Thanks." Alyson watched him walk off and went back into the room where she'd left Buffy. She was still sitting in the chair waiting patiently.

"Hey, David told me to tell you 'bye'. He left, had some scenes to shoot. You're, er, Sarah was done for the day, so I can take to you to her place if you want."

"Oh yeah, please, I'm exhausted. I've had enough for one day, I just want to get some rest."

"Great, then lets go." Aly figured she wouldn't bother Buffy with tomorrow's filming. Maybe Sarah will be back by tomorrow and everything will back to normal. *Please* let it be back to normal...

Buffy grabbed her bag, and followed Alyson out the door.

**********************************

"So you're saying our lives are just a Television show?" Xander asked Buffy incredulously.

"Well... yeah, that's exactly what I'm saying. I play Buffy and you guys are all just actors. Ok, not you really, but people who look just like you." Sarah responded.

"Wow," was all Willow could manage to get out. Giles was completely perplexed he'd never heard of something like this. People in another dimension just like theirs but 'different'.

"Wait a minute, does this mean people see everything that happens in our lives? *Every* single detail?" Questions were flying wildly through Xander's head.

"Not ALL of it, but a lot. Just enough to keep the story going," Sarah informed matter of factly.

"Well, that's just plain......well, WRONG! I have the right to privacy!" He was angry now. These people are just watching my every move and- a wicked grin suddenly appeared on his face, and he asked curiously, "Are we famous?"

"Yeah, sort of, I guess."

"Like if I walked out in the street I'd get mobs of crazed women chasing after me?" Excitement replaced his anger and Xander looked to Sarah eagerly for an answer.

"I'm sure they'd recognize you, but I don't know about *mobs*... We get articles in magazines, loads of fan mail. We even have tons fan websites on the net."

"Oooooh! We're on the net?" Willow who'd been rolling her eye's at Xander's wild fantasies of groupies chasing him down, suddenly became very interested.

"Mm-Hmm," Sarah confirmed nodding, "I haven't actually been on the net much, but I've heard a lot." Willow smiled widely and looked over at Xander who now had a glazed over look on his face. Daydreaming.

Giles took this opportunity to speak up. "This is all very fascinating, but we have a more pressing issue at hand here. With Buffy gone and Sarah, here, taking her place, we have no slayer."

"No slayer, right," Willow said with a frown. "What about Buffy? Do you think her and Sarah switched places?"

"Yes, I believe it's likely," Giles told Willow.

"Well, things have been quiet lately since Spike and Drusilla are dead, and it's not like we're in the middle of some terrible prophecy," Willow added trying to help.

"Well, what about Angel?" Sarah asked. What if he comes after me thinking I'm Buffy? I don't want to die! Especially not in a world I don't belong to!

The group saw the worried expression on Sarah's face. Willow spoke up first.

"Angel? What about him? It's not like he's going to hurt you or anything. We'll just have to explain everything to him. He'll understand."

Sarah wasn't really paying attention to Willow, she was too deep in her thoughts... and they were coming a mile a minute! Vampires are real here! I can't defend myself. Angel wants me dead and- wait! Everything that we act out in the show happens here... Joss isn't about to let Angel kill me. Good then I'm safe from him killing me, but- wait, Spike and Dru dead?

"Did you say Spike and Dru are dead?" she asked trying to figure things out.

"Yeah, remember the fire at the church. Kendra showed up, Buffy saved Angel," Xander informed, "You should know this."

"I do, that was 'What's My Line.'" Then it dawned on her OH! The eps we've filmed up to must not have all happened yet here! But then how far are they? Oops! I almost spilled about Angel too! I guess Surprise and Innocence haven't happened yet.

"Um here, let me ask you guys this. What was the last major event that's happened here? The last creature-evil-thing that Buffy's had to fight?"

"There was the Bezoar egg creature about 3 weeks ago," Willow said.

"Yes, that's right, and the Gorch Brother vampires. Before that there was Ted, the android," Giles finished.

"That was 'Ted' and 'Bad Eggs,'" Sarah muttered to herself. "When is Buffy's birthday?" Please don't say it's anytime soon!

"Buffy's Birthday? It's in about 2 weeks," Willow answered Oh good! I just hope I'm gone by then. Sarah sighed with relief.

"Sarah, do you know about anything that's going to happen?" Giles could tell she knew *something*.

"I... well... just...Yes." She finally let out, sheepishly.

"You know what's going to happen in our future?!" Xander blurted out amazed.

"Not all of it. See, I think we're a few episodes ahead. The stuff, that we've filmed up to, hasn't all happened here yet."

"Sarah, you mustn't tell us anything about the future, " Giles' suspicions were confirmed and he decided to speak up before Xander got any ideas. "We can't know of what's to come."

"Why not?" Xander asked, "We could be prepared for whatever big evil is coming? We could prevent bad things from ever happening!"

"Yes, that's true Xander, but knowing too much about one's future is dangerous. Things could turn out worse instead of better. The slightest change could effect everything," explained Giles to the boy.

"Oh," was all Xander replied. Well, it sounded like a good idea.

"Well, Sarah, can't you just pretend to be Buffy? I mean you do play her on TV," Willow said trying to help.

"Yeah, I play Buffy, but I'm no slayer. I can't fight! Sophia does practically all of my stunts anyway."

"Oh, I guess you're right. I know! I'm sure Angel wouldn't mind patrolling for a few days. He's done it for Buffy before. We just have to tell him what's going on."

"Yes, that's a good idea, Willow. Why don't you take Sarah now to go and see him. Since it's still daylight you'll both be safe. Xander, I need you here to help me research. The sooner we can get things back to normal, the better."

They all agreed. Willow and Sarah left to Angel's and Xander and Giles got to work with the books.

*************************************

Buffy didn't know if this was the right thing to do, but her curiosity forced her to put the video tape into in the VCR. While Alyson had been outside talking to David she'd been left alone in the room. Her eye's had wandered to a table nearby with a video tape marked 'Ted, Bad Eggs, Surprise & Innocence'. Ted! Now there's a psycho you don't forget. She figured they were episodes of the show, 'Bad Eggs' must have been about her adventure from a few weeks ago. Although she didn't recognize the other titles, she had grabbed the tape without thinking and shoved into her bag. She was curious to see just how much of her life really was televised. So now Buffy sat and watched as the images began to appear on the screen.

Buffy spent the next two hours or so, watching the episodes 'Ted' and 'Bad Eggs'. They caught almost everything in her life and she was surprised at how it was all *exactly* the way it'd really happened. Everything. She was also bothered by the fact that everyone who watched the show saw all her most private moments. She also found out many things she *didn't* know. Like what her friends were up to when she wasn't around. She was touched at just how hard they'd worked to help out during the incident with Ted. She did NOT however like the scene where her and Angel were making out in his apartment or even the scenes in the graveyard for that matter. Those were things she did NOT want an audience for. Buffy was most in shock over the fact that Xander and Cordelia had *kissed*, and now they were making out regularly in the utility closet! That was a pair she would have never even thought of in her wildest dreams. This explains all the weirdness with them lately.

The screen drew back her attention as she saw herself walking through the dark hall with DRUSILLA behind her! How'd she get in my house! Wait, I killed her! When she saw herself suddenly walking through the Bronze in her pajamas she knew it was just a dream. Buffy calmed herself and continued to watch intently.

The events that unfolded in the episode shocked her even more than Xander and Cordy. Spike and Dru, alive. Ms. Calendar a gypsy? and from the same tribe that cursed Angel! The Judge coming to destroy the world. Angel almost leaving. The Judge almost killing us both. Buffy was experiencing everything that she saw as if it were really happening to her. It would eventually. Her face was tear stained from the sad and emotional goodbye she and Angel had shared on the docks. Now they were in his apartment, sitting on his bed, still soaked from the rain. Are we actually let it go that far?

"I love you, I try not to but I can't stop" He loves me! He actually said it. I knew he did...

The white light flashed and they were both asleep in Angel's bed. They were tucked under the crimson sheets and their hands were entwined together. The thunder storm was rumbling outside. Lighting cracked and Buffy watched helplessly as Angel ran from the room in terrible pain. What's happening?!

"Buffy!"

Wake up! He's calling me! He needs me....Why don't I get up?! But the Buffy on screen continued to sleep. She watched and tears streamed down her face. Something was seriously wrong.

Then the screen went black.

"TO BE CONTINUED......"

Immediately following the second half began. Spike. Dru. The Judge. They were at the warehouse. Why is Dru calling Angel's name? What's coming?

"Angel?" She watched herself wake up alone in the bed, calling out to her lover.

"No, the pain is gone." He sank his fangs in the woman's neck. No!!! Angel wouldn't... he'd never... not in a hundred years!

Her fears were only getting worse as the episode continued.

"Then Angelus is back."
"You're boyfriend is *dead*."
"You can't do it.... You can't kill me!"
"Give me time."
"I'll just let it burn."

It was over, and it hit her like a ton of bricks. This is my future? My whole life is going to be turned upside down? Why?! WHY does fate always insist on ruining every bit of happiness I have? It's not fair! I can't lose him...

Buffy was sobbing as she made her way to Sarah's bed. On the nightstand lay a script. It read, "Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Passion" The next episode? Haven't I had enough? She picked it up anyway.

She sat down and started to flip through it despite the tears that continued to roll down her cheeks. Now, Angel's stalking me!? Her eyes continued to wander through the pages. A line caught her eye. "Ritual of Restoration" The cure! Ms. Calendar found it? Buffy's eyes quickly read the entire scene. He killed her. Oh, God! I wasn't there to stop it!

The script fell out of her trembling hands and landed on the floor. She collapsed on the bed, crying even harder. Was *that* the nightmare she'd have to live through? Right now she couldn't think. She just cried herself to sleep.

**************************************

"Thanks for everything Willow, good night."

Sarah and Angel watched as the red-haired girl walked out of Buffy's room and down the stairs. Angel shut the door behind her and turned to Sarah.

"Thanks so much for staying. I know they can't get in or anything, but I'll sleep a lot easier with you here."

"No problem."

"I just hope Giles finds a way to send me back soon. I miss my world and I know you all miss the real Buffy."

He nodded, "This is all just so bizarre. I, of all people, should know anything's possible, but I never expected something like this."

"I know what you mean. To me this is all just made up. It's hard to accept it being real."

They were both silent for a moment, and then Sarah spoke up again.

"Angel, can ask you do something for me?" She asked with a sparkle in her eye.

"What?"

"Would you show me your game face?"

"Excuse me?!" He was obviously surprised by her question.

"Well, I was just curious, you know... if it looks the same as over there. They just where masks, but yours is *real*. It's still hard for me to accept all this. You're a *vampire*. You've been alive for over 200 years! First you were bad, then you're good, then you're bad again and-" Oh! Shut up! You've already said too much again!

Angel looked at Sarah a bit confused.

She spoke up again quickly trying to cover her slip up, "So, will you........Please?" Sarah smiled at him sweetly.

Angel looked away reluctantly. He turned back a moment later, his eyes glowing yellow and with ridges across his forehead.

"Oh wow!" Sarah leaned closer to him, examining the details of his face. Then, she realized how uncomfortable he was with the situation.

"I-- It-- *interesting*! I mean, it looks so real! Er, just like the one David wears. And that was quick! It takes David I-don't-know-how-long in make-up to look like that. Even longer to get it off.... oh, you can switch back now," She said a little embarrassed. That went well! Just had to ask to see his game face, huh?

"It's late, you should probably rest." Angel said now wearing his human visage.

Sarah agreed right away, trying to forget the previous moments. After having changed into something of Buffy's in the bathroom she came back in the room and slipped into Buffy's bed under the covers. Angel had sat down in the chair nearby.

"Goodnight, Angel. Thanks again so much for staying here tonight."

"Goodnight, Sarah."

***************************************

Buffy woke to the warm sun hitting her face. She opened her eyes and looked at her surroundings. I'm in my bed! Oh, thank God it was just a dream! More like nightmare! She was overjoyed! That dream had seemed *so* real. Real? It was downright crazy! The fact that a place like that could even exist was just absurd. Even for being on the Hellmouth, it's out there! Besides, Xander and Cordy? There are more chances of every vamp in Sunnydale taking out for early retirement. And the things about Angel.... that was *really* was a nightmare. She didn't want to think about it anymore! She couldn't stand the thought of losing him now when he'd become such an important part of her life.

Buffy pulled herself out of bed and got ready for school. She was all set and walking out of her bedroom when she realized she'd forgotten her bag. It was no where in sight. Hmmm? Where'd I leave it?

She saw a black strap peeking out from under her bed. Ah, ha! Buffy reached down and pulled the bag out and slung over her shoulder in a hurry. She shut the door behind her and trotted down the stairs. She didn't even notice the video tape that had slipped out of her bag and was lying under the bed. The label read "Ted, Bad Eggs, Surprise & Innocence".

***********************************

Sarah's alarm clock buzzed in her ear! She groaned shutting it off and sat up slowly in bed. She ran her hand through her messy hair, and yawned. That was some dream! This show must really be getting to me. Sarah pulled the covers off herself and stepped out of bed. Her foot landed on something.

"Huh?" She looked and down and noticed the script for Passion, the next episode be to filmed, under her toes. Must of fallen. She shrugged it off and got up. Sarah laughed at herself still remembering the wacky dream she'd awoken from. Yeah, right! A real Buffy universe? Only in Joss' imagination! Sarah rushed to get ready. She had scenes to shoot early that morning.
