Jeff Probsts (voiceover): "Previously on...Survivor."

We see Cordelia talking with Willow about Buffy, Faith and Spike fighting with Tara and Xander, several past challenges, Angel and Buffy on a date, Anya plotting with Cordelia, then working, and Wesley, Riley, Joyce, and Cordelia being voted out, and Fred being lifted away by helicopter.

The words "Day 16" show up on the screen {are you guys tired of that yet??!}

Gunn is still on his whole jogging thing, but we only see a few shots of him, because we had an entire montage of him shirtless last week {yum!}.

He runs back to the Tagi Tribe, carrying today's treemail. It's a poem written out on singed paper. The Tagis slowly start to wake up as he reads it out.

Gunn: "Your only help is seeing in the dark
When your tribe must make its mark
Run through the town just to survive
The winners will be the first to arrive."

Nobody is quite sure of what they must do at tonight's challenge, especially with the confusing "town" line. They're on an island, for goodness sakes, there's no frickin town!!

But there are actually more important things than challenges right now-something that is especially on the Pagong's minds.

Cut to the Pagong tribe, who are discussing the upcoming merge.

Faith: "We can't lose this competition. We lose it, and we go into the merge with less people. That can't happen!"

Even Xander and Faith seem to have made up for this special occasion.

Interview with Xander: "This is getting serious...if I last two more rounds, I'm on the jury. We just gotta win the Immunity challenge. Which is freaky, 'cuz if we don't...it's a lot of pressure."

Interview with Faith: "What's my opinion on Xander right now? Same as it was three days ago. He a freak. Loser. Good-for-nothing *BEEEEP*! But if we've got each other's backs for the next few days, we can make it a long ways in this game. And that's all I'm aimin' for right now."

The Pagongs talk about who they should try to get rid of from the Tagi side after the merge first-and Faith seems to have already made up her mind.

Faith: "Oh my god, B is so gone!"

Tara: "B?"

Faith: "Buffy."

Tara: "Oh."

Xander: "I don't know...she doesn't seem too strong."

Faith: "Well, yeah, but I hate her. Enough said, Xander."

Oz: "She does seem to have a certain leader quality."

Spike: "Bugger this, she's bloody gone!"

The Pagongs all put their hands in the centre of a circle and make a pact-they'll do everything they can to get Buffy Summers out of the game. As we see close-ups on every member, we can see that not all of them feel confident about the decisions-in face, only Spike and Faith seem happy.

Commercial Break: "8 Simple Rules..., starring John Ritter {oh my god, he guest-starred on Buffy, didn't hee? Cool!}, Tuesdays on ABC."

It's still Day 16, but now it's night, and they tribes are just arriving on the north beach of the island. Jeff Probsts greets them as they look at an incredible sight behind him-it's like an actual town, with a main road and side-streets and everything, built temporarily on the island.

Jeff Probsts: As you can see, we've spend several days building this 'ghost town.' There are a total of 15 buildings in it, and your mission in tonight's challenge is to find 5 of the 10 markers hidden throughout it. There are five Tagi markers, and five Pagong markers. You can ONLY take items that have your tribe's colour on them. They will be easily distinguishable from anything else inside the buildings. The only things you get to help you will be these night-vision goggles."

They ooh and aah at a table of night-vision goggles.

Jeff Probsts: "You will run through the town one tribe member at a time, searching for the items. Tagi, you'll have to sit one member out. Now, you want to see what you're playing for?"

Everyone nods enthousiastically.

Jeff Probsts: "MRE's, Meals-Ready-To-Eat, and good old chocolate from the good old US of A!" The girls look especially excited about the chocolate.

Tagi decides to sit out Giles, and then they're ready to go.

Jeff Probsts: "On your mark...get set...GO!"

Buffy and Faith are first, racing through the streets, into the buildings, to find the coloured markers. Buffy races into a bank on the main street, while Faith takes a side street and heads into an abandoned house. Faith finds a marker quickly and races back to her tribe at lightning speed. Buffy however, is still having trouble.

Buffy: "Dammit, dammit..." She runs out of the bank and into a hotel, where she finds a marker in the lobby. As she runs out, Tara grabs goggles and runs in. Pagong are leading, but Tagi can still catch up.

Buffy tags Willow and she runs into the town. Lady Luck is on Pagong's side tonight, for Tara finds a marker quickly and runs back to tag Oz into the town.

The score flashes up: Tagi: 1 Pagong: 2

Willow stumbles, which loses valuable time, but finds a marker all the same. She runs back to her tribe and Anya enters the town.

Anya doesn't go quite as fast as the first two-instead, she takes her time, searching carefully. Her strategy pays off, and she finds a marker almost immediately.

The score flashes up:

Tagi: 3 Pagong: 2

Oz is still in the town, searching, searching...there it is! He goes for it inside the abandoned movie theatre, but it's at the far end of the town, so it takes several extra seconds to get back. The tribes are now tied.

Angel and Spike enter the ghost town at the same time, both eagerly trying to finish. {Ah, testosterone!} They split off seperate ways about halfway through the town-Xander left, Angel right. Angel can't find one, but Xander finds one. Problem is, he grabs the wrong colour. Xander races back to the tribe and gives the marker to Jeff, like his previous tribe members.

Jeff Probsts: "Wrong colour, Pagong! You'll have to go back!"

Xander: "DAMMIT!" He races back in as the score flashes up on the screen.

Tagi: 4 Pagong: 3

If Angel gets this, he's won the game for his tribe, but he still can't find the last marker. Xander, meanwhile, searches desperately for his tribe's marker. He finds it with ease, although he takes extra time to make sure it's the right colour.

Tagi: 4 Pagong: 4

Spike is the last Pagong member to go into the town, and it's him against Angel. He's seaching...Angel is searching...the camera keeps switching between them, both running from building to building. They find markers about approximately the same time, and race back to the finish. It's neck and neck...but Spike gets a sudden burst of speed, and heads for the finish, several feet ahead of Angel.

Jeff Probsts: "Pagong Wins!" Spike's tribe cheers in slow motion. Buffy assures Angel it wasn't his fault, and gives him a small kiss on the lips. The rest of Tagi look disappointed, while the Pagong keep on celebrating.

Commercial Break: "Newsflash: School Sucks!" {Wah, I hate school. But back to Survivor!}

"Day 17" shows up on the screen, but things are anything but peaceful at the Tagi camp. Buffy and Willow are both in tears early in the morning, yelling at each other from opposite sides of the fire.

Buffy: "You voted against me, I know it!"

Willow (through tears): "Buffy, I swear, I didn't!"

Buffy: "And why should I believe you?"

Willow: "Because I'm your friend. You think I'm gonna listen to Cordelia?!"

Buffy pauses-Willow makes a point.

Buffy (quieter): "That still doesn't explain where the other vote came from.

Interview with Willow: "Wow, this worked out better than expected...not only does she think I didn't vote for her, she thinks Anya did. I felt bad lying to Buffy, I sort of regre it...and I just want her to know that I'm sorry. Sorry!"

Willow (whispered): "Anya."

Buffy takes a moment to take this in-she thinks that Anya voted for her.

The rest of the Tagi Tribe start to rise, and Buffy and Willow quickly wipe their eyes and make up.

Interview with Buffy: "Thank god Willow didn't vote for me...See? *I knew* I could trust her! Anyways, Anya is SO gone now! I can't believe we ever thought she would turn against Cordelia."

Buffy and Willow start to cook rice for the tribe, Buffy with a smug look on her face. Will looks downright scared. As Anya comes over, Buffy resists the urge to slap her.

Cut to the Pagong tribe snacking on chocolate for breakfast. Seems they're feeling pretty comfortable after their win last night. Everyone (except Spike) is sitting around a roaring fire on the beach, talking and laughing cheerfully.

Spike runs out from the forest brandishing a piece of paper. He reads it aloud to the tribe.

Spike: "Oh bloody hell, it's another poem...

Physical fitness is a must
Chose tribe members wisely, the ones you trust
The journey is long and speed is good
Maybe Angel shouldn't brood {Sorry, I know it's lame!}

Tara: "Physical fitness...that, that means Spike and Faith will be good at it, r-right?"

Xander: "Hey!"

Tara: "A-and Xander. And Oz."

Xander grins proudly.

Oz (softly, gently): "You're pretty fit too, Tara."

Tara smiles.

Cut back to the Tagi Tribe, who have just finished reading their treemail. But they are anything but happy at their camp. Buffy is glaring at Anya, Anya has no idea why, Angel is offended by the brooding comment, and Willow feels nervous about lying. Aw, poor Will. On the bright side, Giles and Gunn are perfectly content!

Nobody feels the need to say anything-they just sit in an eerie silence-actually, Giles and Gunn break the silence giggling like teenage girls about dirty jokes-but they shut up when every looks at them.

Now we see the Pagongs hiking up to the beach where the competition is being held. On the way, Tara and Oz drop behind the others.

Oz (to Tara): "I need to talk to you."

Tara: "Oh um...Ok."

Oz: "I don't want Buffy to leave. She can help us make it to the end."

Tara: "But-but we promised..."

Oz: "I know." He thinks hard for a moment. "You and me Tara, we go along with their little plan as long as possible, but we need to make it to the end. You and me, final two."

Tara: "I-I guess. But how do we...?"

Oz: "Today and tomorrow don't matter. But after the merge...we'll talk, I promise, Ok?"

Tara: "OK."

The two tribes arrive at the beach, and are greeted by a huge obstacle course about a mile long, divided into sections. They stand facing Jeff Probsts.

Jeff Probsts: "Only three tribe members will have to participate in today's challenge. This is an actual Army obstacle course used in training. It's divided into sections. Each tribe member will run one section. All clear?"

Everyone nods, and he holds out the Immunity Idol. Tagi select Buffy, Angel and Gunn; Pagong select Faith, Spike, and Xander.

Jeff Probsts: For Immunity...on your marks...get set...GO!"

Buffy and Faith leap over hurdles as they race against each other, desperate to make sure everyone from their tribe makes it to the merge. They finish the hurdles in record time, and as they finish their section neck and neck, Angel and Spike go head to head swimming out to a sandbar, where the third and final part is. Spike, being a fairly strong swimmer, gains about two metres on Angel, but Angel works hard to keep up. Pagong finishes a little bit ahead, but not by much. then, Gunn and Xander simply race through a path and back around to the start. Xander is slowing down, it looks like he's suffering from exhaustion. He keeps going however, and him and Gunn are tied. Almost there...

Jeff Prosbts: "Pagong win AGAIN!" The infamous music starts up and everytyhing happens in slow motion as we cut to a commercial break.

Commercial Break: "Sarah Michelle Gellar for Maybelline. {wow, coincidence! She looks a lot like Buffy...} Maybe she's born with it, maybe it's Maybelline!"

It's still Day 17, but now it's late at night. Anya and Willow are still awake, but the rest of Tagi are asleep. They are whispering to each other.

Willow: "She thinks you voted for her."

Anya: "What? Willow, I didn't! You did!"

Willow: "I know, I know...arg, I'm such an idiot. I think you're leaving tomorrow, and it's all my fault, Anya."

Anya: "Then tell Buffy the truth! This is your fault Willow, and I'm paying the price! I want money!"

Willow (confused): "Hush-money?"

Anya: "No, the million dollars!"

Willow: "Oh, Ok...I'm SO sorry, Anya. I know she has to go, but not just yet, we have to wait until the merge."

Anya: "That's not exactly true, is it?

Willow: "What?"

Anya: "YOU have to wait until the merge, I'm leaving tomorrow. You know it, and I don't think there's anything you can do about it. This is all your fault, Willow Rosenburg."

Willow: "Anya?"

Anya: "Yes?"

Willow: "Just shut up, please!"

Cut to daylight, and "Day 18." The Pagongs are sitting pretty, knowing that now they're going into the merge with equal members. Faith and Tara seemed to have made up somewhat, and are sun tanning side-by-side. Xander is sharpening a knife, Oz if floating out in the ocean, and Spike is cleaning up the camp.

Now cut to later that night, as a storm is rolling in and the Tagis are climbing to the centre of the island where Tribal Council is. It starts to rain, but not as heavy as last time.

Jeff Probsts: "Gunn, do you feel responsible for Tagi's loss at the Immunity challenge yesterday?"

Gunn: "Not really...I tried my hardest out there, and we were really close. I think I've proven myself in other competitions, one slip-up doesn't necessarily mean that I'll be voted out. But that doesn't mean I feel totally secure tonight."

Jeff Probsts: "Willow, how is your relationship with the rest of the tribe right now?"

Willow: "Um...good, I think?"

Jeff Probsts: "Can you explain that at all?"

Willow: "Um...no?"

Jeff Probsts: "Ok, whatever. Giles, you haven't been in this episode very much. If you could say one thing to the author right now, what would you say?"

Giles: "I would very much like to tell the author of this fic that I do not appreciate being 'cut' and that I would like to have an entire episode dedicated to me!! That is all." {Ok. I'll remember that, G-man!}

Jeff Probsts: "Buffy, you've been very quiet tonight. Do you know who you'll be voting for?"

Buffy (quietly, determined): "Yes."

Jeff Probsts: "Ok...well, let's start the voting. Giles, you're up first."

Giles heads to the voting booth. He doesn't have a lot to say after his mini-speech to the author {me}, and he votes quickly for...Angel??

Giles: "It's nothing personal, I had nobody to vote for, I know he's not going to leave. Just picked somebody randomly."

Gunn goes next.

Gunn: "I had several people approach me today...telling me which way to vote. But I'm gonna stick with my original alliance, and I'm voting out Anya. Sorry, girl." He stuffs his vote into the jar-thingy.

Angel: "I have to. From what I hear...some people haven't been completely loyal around here." We don't get to see his vote.

Buffy goes after Angel.

Buffy: "Oh my god, I cannot believe she back-stabbed! She is SO not making it to the merge, that bitch!" We don't get to see her vote, either.

Willow is the second-to-last to vote.

Willow: "I totally see my mistake from last time we were here...I shouldn't have voted for her so early. This time I'm playing it safe. I'm really sorry, Anya."

Anya is last.

Anya: "Willow completely turned on me, and I can't forgive *or* forget that. I hope she doesn't make it tonight, I really do." She puts her vote in as well.

After Anya sits down, Jeff Probsts goes to tally the votes. He comes back and starts to read them out.

Jeff Prosbts: "First vote: Anya. Second vote: Willow. Third vote: Angel." (Almost) Everyone looks surprised at these mixed votes.

Jeff Probsts: "Fourth vote: Anya. Fifth vote...Anya. Last vote..."

Everyone holds their breath as he takes a dramatic pause.

Jeff Probsts: "Anya. Anya, I'll ask you to please bring me your torch, as you are now officially voted off the island." Anya does so, and pouts as she walks off into the distance.

Jeff Probsts: "I'll see you all next time after you merge. Good night, Tagi." They all walk home in confusion about the odd votes (the ones for Willow and Angel).

Jeff Probsts (voiceover): "Stayed tuned for scenes from the next episode."

Commercial break: "Lord of the Rings, now on DVD."

Jeff Probsts (voiceover): "Next time on...Survivor!"

We see the two tribes merging, a tense tribal council, most of the tribe's members holding their breaths, several very heated catfights, and several new alliances being formed (including one between Willow, Oz, and Tara).

The End
