RATING: R. PWP. B/A.
SUMMARY: Alternate ending for Surprise.
DISCLAIMER: OBJ - Owned By Joss.
DISTRIBUTION: LMK where it's goin'.
AUTHOR'S NOTE: My scientific research methods? Don't make me laugh. Thus, I have only taken the second law of thermodynamics in its simplest, simplest form: Heat travels to cold. Have a field day. Angel's POV.

CHLOE: No, it's all because of sex.
VALENTINE: Really?
CHLOE: That's what I think. The universe is deterministic all right, just like Newton said, I mean it's trying to be, but the only thing going wrong is people fancying people who aren't supposed to be part of the plan.
VALENTINE: Ah. The attraction that Newton left out.

And as I am so deeply embedded in her, I can feel her heat flowinginto me, her love redeeming me. I feel her strength and her lustsplashing through my veins, peppering the ice that has frozen there.

Her breathy cries flutter about my skin, edging me further, furtherthan I had ever been before. The thin restraint that I had clung towas now recklessly abandoned, tumbling head first into the raw desirewhich she could invoke with but a touch of her fingertips.

I could hear her calling my name, crying it to the heavens, the smallroom shielding us from the harsh, cold elements that tried in vain tobreak into our coccoon.

Her head lolls, eyes blind to the world as I invade her universe, digging deep into her psyche, beyond the physical, delving past herinsecurities, her fears and gently touching at the edges of her soul.

The light found there was startling, breathtaking, awesome in itspower and I could not look away.

I felt her then, clutching desperately at my shoulders, burying herface deep into my neck and I could tell that she was close.

I pushed hard into her, entering her core in every essence of theword, breaking into that light of her soul.

And God, what a feeling.

It rushed over me, submerged me in its purity, I could feel myselfdrowning in her love.

The light, then, invaded me, shooting into the centre of my soul andspreading like a virus into my entire being.

And here, here in the warmth of her love, her acceptance, in the armsof my goddess, I am completely and utterly happy.

I woke to her curious eyes staring down at my face.

"Hi." she whispered timidly, the tenderness filling me with joy.

"Hi." I returned, raising myself up to a sitting position, taking herin my arms as we moulded together, hard and soft, sitting quietly, enjoying each other's presence.

"Do you... do you feel different?" Buffy asked in a small voice, filled with childlike wonder.

"Completely." I replied, pressing a kiss into her golden hair.

"Good." I could hear the smile in her voice.

She turned in my arms to face me, "Last night... I thought I couldsee into your soul."

I kissed her gently, murmuring into her mouth, "Me too."

I pulled away, then, taking her hand into mine and placing it on mychest, mumbling softly, "I can feel you in me."

The girl in my arms broke into a brilliant grin, throwing her armsaround my neck, whispering, "Me too." before pulling me down, on topof her as our mouths melded.

And it was true, every word. My soul, my once lost and homeless soul, was now deeply rooted by hers within me, never to break away, even ifit wanted to.
